Why do people steal bmw emblems

The News Wheel. I would imagine they would not show any restraint when removing the emblem. They made some pretty big gouges under the trunk emblem. I don't know why. I was definitely glad that they didn't key the car though. The BMW emblems seem pretty easy to pop off actually. I've never done it myself but they are just held in there with rubber grommits unlike the benz and lexus ones that are firmly attached to the car.
