While YouTube is not able to compete with Youku Tudou directly in China, YouTube is still the dominant player in video sharing in the world.

Still, Youku Tudou exists under the watchful eye of the Chinese government and its censors. The Great Firewall of China enforces strict rules that only approved videos can be uploaded and viewed, limiting it as a source of freedom of expression and objective news.
